Sacred Texts and Paradigmatic Revolutions in Paperback
The kind folks at Bloomsbury (the parent company of the T&T Clark imprint) have recently mentioned that a paperback release is forthcoming for my Sacred Texts and Paradigmatic Revolutions: The Hermeneutical Worlds of the Qumran Sectarian Manuscripts and the Letter to the Romans. Slated for this June, the paperback, at a $29.95 list price, will be a fiscally welcome complement to the current hardback ($120.00) and PDF ($27.99) formats. The paperback is already available for pre-order on Amazon, currently at just under the list price.
Seitz, Christian Scripture (Excerpt)
Baker has kindly provided a substantial PDF excerpt from Christopher Seitz’s The Character of Christian Scripture: The Significance of a Two-Testament Bible (2011). Besides front matter, the excerpt includes the book’s introduction and first chapter, which account for 74 pages of text.
Schnabel, Acts (Excerpt)
Zondervan has kindly made available a PDF containing Eckhard Schnabel’s treatment of Acts 25:1–26:32 in his Zondervan Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament volume (HT: Jesse Hillman).
Lightfoot, “Colossians and Philemon”
In working on the phrase εἰς ἐπίγνωσιν τοῦ μυστηρίου τοῦ θεοῦ, Χριστοῦ in Col 2:2 (NA27 punctuation), I stumbled upon J. B. Lightfoot’s commentary on Colossians in full view, PDF format on Google Books. According to Lightfoot (239),
The “note” to which Lightfoot here refers is too lengthy conveniently to reproduce here, but it may be found on pgs. 318–19 of his commentary.
