The Nook Simple Touch

Now available for preordering, on June 10, Barnes and Noble will release the new Nook Simple Touch, the first major hardware update for their e-Ink reader. With this reader, Barnes and Noble is matching Amazon’s current Kindle 3 WiFi price of $139. Nook Simple Touch boasts 80% better page refresh rates, and gone is the first Nook’s LCD touch-screen. Instead, Nook Simple Touch users will use an on-screen keyboard that appears directly on the e-Ink display itself. For a full list of features, see here, or for a brief video overview, see below.
