Introduction to the New Testament
D. A. Carson and Douglas Moo

Thanks to the kind folks at Zondervan, I just received the second edition of D. A. Carson and Douglas Moo’s Introduction to the New Testament for use this fall. I had used the first edition (co-authored also with Leon Morris) when I took my initial New Testament Introduction course, so I will be interested (finally—this second edition has been available since 2005) to see firsthand what revisions have been made.

I think you will find that is actually the third edition. 🙂

Hmmm . . . really? The cover and Library of Congress Publication data both have the book as a second edition from 2005. Curiously on the other hand, however, the maps are copyrighted from 2009, perhaps indicating a new printing or a “revised second edition”?

My copy is at work. It is possible it is the third edition but the third cover (which would confuse me). I had the original cover and then I just bought the green covered one for my brother in law and I have the one you have pictured. Anyway, it is a GREAT book!

Perhaps . . . I almost bought Dan Wallace’s Greek Grammar beyond the Basics when the cover changed several years ago, thinking that it was a second edition. 🙂

Oh, and it is a brilliant text book. It was also the first theology book I ever owned (the original edition).

Glad to have an additional testimonial for it. I’m wrapping up reading another one of the courses’ required texts, but I’m looking forward to reviewing what Carson and Moo have to say.
